Here is it…
The beloved high carb day, and with most people stuffing their face with anything possible, i’ve decided to yes – “keep it clean” and honestly I felt like making something.
Also being my re-feed, cheat meal, what every you want to call it — I need to bump my carbs right up, but I also don’t want my fat intake going through the roof.
I can’t credit who I found the rough idea of a recipe I got this from, but I knew it was all in my kitchen… and after before I went to train, stormed through the kitchen and made this in under 5min.
High Protein – High Carb – Low Fat…
…nothing thats going to cause high inflammation, no gluten — and really it just tastes damn good!
- 1 cup of Buckinis
- 1/2 cup of Shredded Coconut
- 1 cup of Protein Powder (I used ISO-100 Vanilla)
- 1/2 cup of Brown Rice Syrup
- 1x block of Lindt 70% chocolate (optional)
The How To:
Throw in a bowl all the ingredients except the chocolate.
Use your hands and mix it all up, so it becomes ‘doughy’.
Pop the mix into non-stick cup cake tins (yes, I have some that are love heart shaped – I have a daughter, and I love it)
If you’re using the chocolate, melt it over a medium heat in a pot, and then poor it over the top of the mix.
In the freezer they go for a few hours.
Take out and strap yourself in for a party in your mouth.
Clearly I didn’t stop the re-feed with these. This was just warming up.
Vegemite toast, fruit, home made pizzas and gelato came later.
